One of the things we really wanted was a traditional, straight after the wedding honeymoon. And we wanted it to be relaxed, slow paced and lay about. All things that we are really bad with when travelling. So how to achieve this? Why go on a cruise of course. Guaranteed to have to lay about due to any long walks resulting in a dip in a deep ocean.
Cruising was definitely not high on our list of travel desires but it seemed to fit the bill.
We cruised out from Sydney harbour on the 29th. I know that cruise ships are big, but getting up so close to one I had no idea they were that big. Leaving the harbour was exciting, we went under the bridge, past the opera house. Having a balcony on the back of the ship was definitely worth it for the views.
The first few days were fairly sedate. Exactly the trip we were searching for. nice and quiet and nothing really to do other than laze by the pool drinking cocktails.
